Serious Skincare for The Serious Anti-Ager

Look your best this summer by getting serious about your skincare. Lisa at The Consumer Adviser had the opportunity to review several products from Derma MD and was so impressed with their line of products that she wanted to share her experience with y'all.

One of my main focuses as a blogger is finding the best beauty and health products to share with my readers.  Of course I'm also looking for the best for myself.   While I recognize there are many factors involved in achieving a beautiful complexion, using the right product on your skin cannot be stressed enough.   Derma MD is a company that really caught my eye because they take an atypical approach to their line of skincare by comprising each product to address the root of a problem as opposed to providing a surface or temporary fix.  While they don't have a big product line-up, they do offer enough product variety to ably address various individual concerns.  Our concerns may be similar, are skin isn't, thus a need for variation.

Derma MD has earned recognition in popular beauty magazines

Derma MD discloses a full ingredient list on their site.  This enabled me to see that they do indeed offer what I have come to appreciate to be the most effective ingredients in skincare.  Of course I'm not a chemist, but based on my experience and the quality of my skin after only two weeks of using several  Derma MD products, I can tell you that the great minds behind these products surely know what they're doing, because my skin is looking mighty fine.

The Ugly Truth In The Beauty Industry

It's no secret that the average women expends a great deal of funds in the quest to look good.  I recently read a statistic that Jennifer Aniston shells out close to two thousand dollars on skin treatments and products monthly.  I'm not sure of the accuracy of that particular stat, but I perceive Jennifer as being relatively low maintenance. Looking naturally beautiful apparently comes at a price.

What many people don't realize is that the beauty industry is big business.  In order to secure a generous profit, companies compromise on what goes in their products.    They do this at the expense of the consumer.   These "high-end" and low-end products are laden with chemicals and additives.  Many of these ingredients have already been proven to be harmful to one's health.  So when we buy into the promises that these products claim to produce, we end up paying a hefty price in mores ways than one.

There are, however, reputable brands that strive to be truly natural by not compromising on their products.  It took a little effort for me to unearth these products because they tend to fly under the radar.  The brands that have earned my respect deliver in both quality of product as well as efficacy.  This is not exactly an easy feat.  I tried a host of naturally pure products from mom-and-pop operations that seek to deliver a truly good product, but they failed to produce positive results.  The purpose of this post is to put a deserved spotlight on the good guys that do produce quality products.
